Refueling should primarily take place on land. Refueling of the machine can be done in various ways.
- From the fuel tank with a hose and refueling nozzle
- From the fuel tank where the machine’s suction hose is used
- Using fuel cans. Remember to use for example a funnel.
- For longer distances, it is beneficial to use a quad bike or a similar machine to transport fuel cans to the machine.
On larger machines with fuel tanks that hold 400–500 liters, it is not practical to refuel with fuel cans. When working with larger machines, planning is required to determine for how long the restoration will take and which access routes will be used to coordinate with when refueling is needed. Plan with the excavator operator for when refueling will be necessary. Try to use the waterway as an access route if the refueling location is far away.
