Things to consider when loading and unloading an excavator.
- Loading and unloading of the machine should take place on a gravel road. Paved roads should be avoided as they can easily be damaged.
- Remember that it should not be visible that the machine has been loaded or unloaded. Tell the excavator operator to smooth out the road with the bucket.
- Make sure to have a rake, shovel, or similar tools on hand. Many times, the operator brings tools that can be used to restore the road.
- It can be helpful to let the machine drive down on a couple of planks during unloading, as this reduces damage to the surface, especially when the machine needs to turn.
